On 1 July 2009, the Federal Government adopted principles of good corporate and investment governance in the Federal sphere. Part of the principles is summarised in Part A – the Public Corporate Governance Code of the Federal Government (PCGK). This cites, in particular, essential provisions of applicable law on the management and supervision of companies as well as internationally and nationally recognised standards of good and trustworthy corporate governance. The PCGK is intended to ensure that the objectives pursued by the Federal Government with its participation can be better and more economically implemented and achieved.
The PCGK is recognised in the companies by means of a Statement of Compliance, which must be issued jointly by the supervisory board and KBB management on an annual basis.
